GO Accounting is a web-based tax organiser and bookkeeping assistant for Canadians. We are not a licensed tax preparer or accounting firm. We help you organise your financial information — we do not file anything on your behalf.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use GO Accounting:

  • Your name and email address when you create an account
  • Financial information you enter — income, deductions, and business data
  • Documents you upload — T4 slips, receipts, and other tax documents
  • Usage data — pages visited and features used, for product improvement

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve the GO Accounting service
  • To send you important account and deadline notifications
  • To calculate estimated tax positions and generate reports
  • We do not sell your data to third parties
  • We do not use your data for advertising

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a Canadian and US-based cloud infrastructure provider. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices including row-level security, rate limiting, and audit logging.

5. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent and request deletion of your account and data

To request account deletion, go to Settings → Delete Account, or contact us directly.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
